2kBet Ireland Review (2024)

A lot of new sports betting sites were launched over the course of 2020 with 2kBet among them.

This sportsbook runs as a white-label site from ProgressPlay Limited, which means it has a similar look and design to a lot of other sites, such as Bet Dukes, which are also from PPL.

However, there are some things that make 2kBet stand out, such as the fact it has a more generous welcome bonus than most PPL sites. This is important as users will only be able to claim the sign-up offer from one PPL site, so they should choose which they join carefully.

For everything else, you need to know about this bookmaker, read our complete 2kBet review.

With 2kBet being a white-label sportsbook from PPL, there is very little known about the people behind this new betting brand.

Indeed, the About Us page on the 2kBet site is identical to those on other PPL white-label sites. This points out the sportsbook aims to provide "quality entertainment" to sports fans and notes some of the safety and security measures that are taken to keep customers on the site safe.

As such, 2kBet was one of the many new betting sites to be launched during that year as companies tried to make the most of a boom in online betting that continued despite the period when sports had been postponed.

It is fair to say 2kBet is still new enough that not many conclusions can be drawn about the site, which has an online casino available to users as well as its sportsbook.

2kBet Products

Like most sports betting sites in an increasingly crowded market, 2kBet has a few different gambling products that are available to those who sign up for an account.

While there is no online poker room or bingo available at this time, the sections on the 2kBet site right now are as follows:

  • Casino
  • Live casino
  • Sports

Our 2kBet review will focus on the sportsbook side of things, so let's go deeper into that now.

2kBet Sportsbook Review

The 2kBet sportsbook will look familiar to anyone who has had an account on a PPL site before. As a white-label site, it follows the same style, design and layout as the other PPL brands.

This means a navigation menu on the right-hand side of the page is the best way to get around the 2kBet sportsbook, with icons used to show each sport. The list of sports available to bet on at 2kBet is far from complete, with horse racing and greyhounds among the main omissions. The only horse racing offered on the 2kBet sportsbook is from America, with even massive races such as the Grand National not available to those who sign up for an account here.

It is possible to bet on some minor sports such as water polo, chess, futsal, weightlifting and handball, though, which will come in handy for fans of those games. Like a lot of the other PPL betting brands, esports is a main focus on the 2kBet sportsbook with CS:GO, League of Legends, Call of Duty, StarCraft 2 and Dota 2 among the decent selection of esports that are available to bet on. However, there are not many markets to pick from within those esports.

This is a trend that can be seen across the 2kBet sportsbook, which has 24/7 customer service available through the live chat function, though responses can sometimes be slow. For some of the sports available on the site, the number of markets offered to users is in single figures.

Football is by far the main sport to bet on, with leagues and competitions from all over the planet offered, including women's football. A typical big game will have close to 500 different bets to pick from, including some niche options that are not normally available on top betting sites. Even in-play, 2kBet customers often have more than 200 different live football bets to browse.

There is no live streaming offered at 2kBet at the time of writing, however. As a relatively new sports betting site, it is of course possible that this will be added at some point in the future. For now, though, sports fans who value live streaming highly will need to join an alternative site, with the likes of Bet365 and Betfair among the best in the business in this department.

Another big downside of playing at 2kBet is the fact users have to pay a fee to withdraw funds. The fee is small, but the vast majority of sports betting sites nowadays offer free withdrawals. Those considering signing up for an account at 2kBet - which has a generous welcome bonus available - should therefore take the withdrawal fees into account before deciding if they join.

Other promotions are sadly quite thin on the ground at 2kBet, though there is a rewards scheme that rewards customers for playing games at the sportsbook's attached online casino site. Sports betting leaderboards are in place on the site with top-ranking players able to scoop cash prizes that are up for grabs by placing bets on the 2kBet sportsbook.

Many sports fans have accounts with various betting sites to make sure they can shop around for top value odds. Prices at 2kBet tend to be reasonably solid and not bad value at all overall, but other top bookmakers are typically able to beat them in this department across most sports.

2kBet Security and Regulation

Security and regulation at 2kBet are broadly in line with other brands that run on PPL sites. As a white-label site, 2kBet runs on a similar platform to other PPL betting brands like Bet Dukes.

PPL describes itself as "the world's first Real Money, Access-Anywhere Gaming Platform for smartphones, tablets, and PCs" and the company, founded in 2009, has its base in Malta.

Running a sportsbook on a white-label license means that 2kBet is essentially the same site as other PPL brands. While there are some differences, they do not usually involve security.

On the 2kBet sportsbook and online casino, 128-bit SSL technology is used. This is in line with most of the top sports betting sites out there and ensures customer data is kept safe and secure. Additionally, firewall technology at 2kBet has also been put in place.

Fraud prevention policies are in place with the companies that are used to handle 2kBet deposits and withdrawals, though the names of these businesses are not disclosed.
