Who Owns Virgin Bet?

As the name suggests, Virgin Bet is part of the wider Virgin group, and whilst a subsidiary owns the site - Virgin Bet Limited - it is operated by the LiveScore Group. The site was founded in 2019, but it has continued to look to innovate itself in the past five years.

The most notable example of this was the implementation of the Kambi sportsbook, which is really highly regarded by most punters due to the range available and the relatively good prices. Another user of Kambi is LiveScore Bet - which has been a partner of Virgin Bet since before the Kambi partnership - and this is the only sister site.

My Thoughts on Virgin Bet

I think Virgin Bet has the potential to grow even further than what we have seen so far, and there are several reasons for this. Primarily, there is a good sportsbook offered across horse racing and football - which are two of the most popular sports.

Furthermore, it would be impossible not to mention the promotions for existing customers. Virgin Bet consistently offers some of the best I’ve seen - such as free bets back if your horse loses and the headline promotion ‘FIVES’. For these reasons, I think I would say it is my favourite ‘new’ bookmaker available.

Review of Virgin Bet's Sister Sites

Below, we outline the key features of Virgin Bet's sister site - LiveScore Bet - and what makes it different from the former, seeing as the sportsbooks are largely identical.

Livescore Bet

LiveScore Bet

Most UK sports fans will probably have heard of LiveScore at some point, whether that be through the self-titled app or the betting site. The betting site is quickly rising in popularity and it's easy to see why.

LiveScore Bet is a really refreshing addition to the market because, for a new app, it does so many of the core things brilliantly. Not only is a fantastic sportsbook offered, but there is also a really nice selection of casino games available, making it a good choice for an 'all-in-one' app so to speak.

As expected, there are several similarities between the two bookies and the interface is largely the same. There are some differences in terms of colour scheme and so on, however, nothing extreme enough to tell them massively apart.

With this, though, there are also benefits. I am a big fan of the promotions on Virgin Bet, and these follow onto LiveScore which is really welcomed.

Overall, it is definitely worth signing up for LiveScore Bet if you are a fan of the Virgin Bet experience. Additionally, you can freely participate in both apps' promotions if you choose to.

Virgin Bet, LiveScore Bet and Kambi

Kambi's partnership with the LiveScore Group was signed prior to 2024, however, in the summer both Virgin Bet and LiveScore Bet implemented the sportsbook fully, which has only had positive feedback. The sportsbook provider is one of the most reputable on the market, so the implementation is a heavily commendable thing.

Review of Virgin Bet Alternatives

With Kambi also being the sportsbook provider of some other prominent betting sites, we wanted to recommend one of these as well.

BetMGM

If you haven't heard of Virgin Bet or LiveScore Bet, you will almost definitely have heard of BetMGM. In the past year, the American-based bookmaker has become a hit for UK customers and it is easy to see why.

Once again, customers benefit from a fantastic sportsbook provided by Kambi, but there is also a good range of casino games which - just like Virgin Bet and LiveScore Bet - makes it a good solution for all-round punters.

Additionally, there are some really nice promotions offered - such as the daily profit boosts, and the Golden Goals promotion. However, there are no promotions that follow from LiveScore Bet or Virgin Bet, but this is understandable.

Regardless of this, though, we would definitely recommend signing up if you want an alternative option.
