What is the Minimum Deposit in INR on Stake?

Stake works slightly differently compared to other betting sites in India. Accepting primarily cryptocurrencies, there is no minimum deposit amount at Stake. However, for those who want to deposit with UPI (which will probably be many), the minimum deposit amount is set at 500 INR and this is not great compared to the lowest deposit betting sites. At least it makes the bookie stand out a bit from the rest, the crypto factor we mean.

Stake Deposit Methods and Terms

Stake is heavily focused on cryptocurrencies rather than local payment methods and this is shown in our table below. It's certainly what makes the bookie stand out from the rest and the good news is that UPI is accepted as well. The bookie, as such, will still be a good option for most Indian punters even if the minimum deposit could be improved slightly (to compete with others).

Below, we have put together a list of deposit methods and their minimum deposit amounts in India on Stake.

How to Deposit INR in Stake

If you are new to stake, you can follow our step-by-step guide on how to deposit below for some assistance. It should be noted that UPI is the only 'local currency' accepted by Stake, so we based our guide on that payment method.

  • 1

    Tap on the 'Wallet' Button

After logging in to your Stake account, alternatively after creating the latter, you need to tap on the 'Wallet' button in the top right corner of the screen. Then, select 'Deposit' in the following menu.

    Switch to 'Local Currency'

In the next step, you will need to switch from 'Crypto' to 'Local Currency' in order to find the UPI option. Scroll down and choose it so you can proceed to the next step.

    Enter the Deposit Amount

Now you will need to enter the amount that you would like to deposit. Keep in mind that while there is no limit for crypto, you will need to deposit at least 500 INR with UPI.

    Complete the Deposit Transaction

Your Stake account will be credited once the transaction is confirmed. Remember that to make a Stake withdrawal using a specific payment method, you must first make a deposit using that same method.

What to Do if Your Stake Deposit Failed

Occasionally, users may experience issues with deposits on Stake. Here are some common reasons for deposit failures and what to do in each case...

Transaction Not Processed

If your deposit doesn't appear in your Stake account within 24 hours, contact Stake support immediately. Provide a screenshot of the transfer details to support@stake.com, including:

  • Transaction date
  • Name of the request
  • Recipient details (bank name, branch name, account number)
  • Date of transfer
  • Amount transferred

Incorrect Transaction ID

When making a bank transfer, always include the correct Transaction ID in the "Name of the request" field. If you forgot to do this:

  • Contact Stake support with proof of your deposit.
  • Provide all relevant transaction details as mentioned above.

Third-Party Account Transfers

Stake only accepts deposits from accounts in your name. If you used someone else's account:

  • The deposit may be rejected or delayed.
  • Contact Stake support with the payment proof and personal information of the account holder.

Cryptocurrency Deposit Issues

When making a cryptocurrency deposit to your Stake account, you may occasionally experience delays or issues. Here are some common reasons for deposit problems and what you can do about them:

  • The blockchain network can sometimes experience congestion, causing delays in processing transactions. Depending on the specific cryptocurrency you're using, these delays can range from a few minutes to several hours.
  • Some cryptocurrencies require a fee for transaction processing. If your fee is too low, the transaction may take longer.
  • Double-check that you've sent your crypto to the correct wallet address and included any necessary tags or identifiers.

Stake Deposit Failed, But Money Deducted

If money was deducted from your account but not credited to your Stake balance, you should wait for up to 24 hours, as some transactions may take time. If it's still not there, contact Stake support at support@stake.com with a screenshot of your bank statement showing the deduction.

Stake's support team will investigate the issue and work towards resolving it promptly. Remember, it's crucial to always use verified payment methods and follow Stake's deposit guidelines to minimize the risk of failed transactions.

Stake Deposit Pending

'Stake deposit pending' means a transaction has been initiated but not yet completed. This status typically occurs when depositing funds into a Stake account. The duration of a pending deposit can vary:

  1. Cryptocurrency deposits usually take 10-30 minutes but can extend to a few hours during network congestion.
  2. Bank transfers generally process within 24 hours, though first-time transfers may be held for up to 24 hours by the bank.
  3. For Stake Wall St accounts, "Regular" deposits take up to 24 hours, while "FastFunds" deposits are instant but incur a 0.5% fee.

If a deposit remains pending for more than 24 hours, users should contact Stake customer support with transaction details.
