RCB and DC have faced each other 31 times since they first met back in 2008. The Challengers are leading their opponents 19-11 after 16 years. At the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, RCB have a 7-4 lead over their opponents. One match back in 2015 did not produce a result due to rain.
In their previous meeting on May 6, 2023, DC defeated RCB by 7 wickets at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. After opting to bat first, the Challengers scored 181 for the loss of 4 wickets in 20 overs. The Capitals chased down the target with 20 balls left in their innings. Phil Salt won the Player of the Match award after he blazed his way to scoring an unbeaten 87 off 45 balls with 8 fours and 6 sixes.
