Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will lock horns in the 70th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 on Sunday, May 19. The Barsapara Stadium in Guwahati will host the contest.

The Knight Riders, led by Shreyas Iyer, have already made their way through to the playoffs, and are currently the favourites to win IPL 2024 at odds of 2,80 with Dafabet. They also confirmed their berth in the Qualifier 1 to be held on April 21 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

The Knight Riders will also finish as the table-toppers in the league stage after Punjab Kings (PBKS) beat Rajasthan Royals (RR) by 5 wickets on Wednesday. KKR’s previous game against Shubman Gill’s Gujarat Titans (GT) in Ahmedabad was abandoned due to rain.

The Royals, on the other hand, qualified for the playoffs after DC beat LSG by 19 runs on Tuesday at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi. But their own form has not been great. Their loss to the Kings was their fourth on the trot in the championship.

After opting to bat first, RR faltered big time as they only managed to score 144 for the loss of 9 wickets. Barring Riyan Parag, who scored 48 runs off 34 balls with 6 fours, none of their batters looked secured. The Kings chased down the target in 18.5 overs after Sam Curran scored an unbeaten 63 off 41 balls.
